New Partnerships Formed

Saturday, May 21, 2022 was a beautiful day to form new partnerships with some of our neighbors and continue ongoing partnerships with others.  For the past 4 years The Association of South Jackson Neighborhoods (ASJN) has partnered with the football teams, baseball team, band, and ROTC of Forest Hill High School to pick up trash along our streets in South Jackson.  This past Saturday, the cheerleaders and staff and band of Wingfield High School, and New Jerusalem Church Mount Baptist Church came together to help “clean up and pick up” along those major corridors. (Raymond Rd and Colonial Dr), residents joined forces with ASJN to clean up South Jackson.

Checked in at time Forest Hill and New Jerusalem 7:30 and began removing trash from the roadways at 8:00am. Crews cleaned up along Raymond rd., Flower Drive. The crews cleaned up from 8-11 am and collected bags of trash and litter.

If today’s youth leaders are to be prepared for tomorrow’s issues, what better way to show us than to partner and participate in the solutions?
