Making A Difference in the Community - Every Day

Monday morning was another working day for members of the Association of South Jackson Neighborhoods (ASJN).  Mr. Ernest Ward, President placed a call to several members, notifying them of another upcoming food give-a-way to senior citizens in the community. Once members received word, they immediately got busy calling neighbors to find out who was in need.

Dr. H. Gardner, a retired school teacher, was excited to receive a box filled with fresh milk, cottage cheese, yogurt, apples, onions and cheese from Produce for her and her 93 year old mother.  Angela (off Forest Hill Road) was equally excited and thankful to receive a box especially during this time without water and lack of food in the grocery stores due to the recent snow storm.  A total of 162 boxes were passed out in the community.

Thank you to Johnny Byrd, Brian Grizzell, Luguene Cooley, Elvante Seaton, Donald Rhodes and Mr. Foster
