ASJN Donated Book Bags to Jackson Police Department Precinct 1

The Association of South Jackson Neighborhoods (ASJN) ,ASJN donated  some book bags to unprivileged students within the South Jackson area of the city on August 13, 2020 at  Precinct 1. The Jackson Public School District determined early on that student learning would be conducted via virtual learning for the fall semester due to the coronavirus pandemic. As a result, the Jackson Police Department wanted to help students get off to a great start for the school year 2020-2021. ASJN donated enough school supplies to fill 40 book bags with folders, paper, pencil sharpeners, hand sanitizers and masks.
 
Attending the book bag drive were chief James Davis (City of Jackson), deputy chief Tiny Harris (City of Jackson), investigator Abraham(City of Jackson), commander Sequrena Banks (City of Jackson)  President Ernest Ward ( ASJN) Florine Keeler (ASJN board member) and Barron Banks (ASJN member) .
