Community Champion Award 

Tuesday, August 29, 2023, the Association of South Jackson Neighborhoods(ASJN)  was awarded the "Community Champion Award" for going above and beyond the call of duty during the water crisis within Jackson. The participants of the ceremony were all awarded for their work within the neighborhoods and communities to make sure that safe viable water and/or supplies got to the citizens. President Ernest Ward and Vice President Johnny Byrd were present to receive the award in behalf of the Association of South Jackson Neighborhoods. Councilman Brian Grizzell  recommended and presented the award to the organization. ASJN would like to sincerely thank Councilman Grizzell on behalf of all those in South Jackson and its residents.
