Mayors Action Line -601-960-1111

or email: actionline@city.jackson.ms.us

for information about City programs and services, or to report problems with:

• garbage and trash collection
• potholes
• street lights
• City drainage ditches, pipes or curb inlets
• public water or sewer lines
• traffic signs or signals
• stray or dead animals
• vacant lots or houses

It's Important to Remember...
• To give your name, address and phone number when you report a problem. They will send your request to the appropriate City office, and will notify you when they receive their response.
• To give the exact location or address of the problem if it's different from your address.
• Potential health or safety hazards are given first priority. All other requests are normally handled on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Many things can affect how long it takes to address a problem, including the weather and the number of related calls pending. For example: they get more requests in the summer to cut ditches and vacant lots -- so it may take a little longer to respond. They appreciate your patience!
• If you see a problem in your neighborhood, don't wait for someone else to report it. Call them right away, and they will respond to you as soon as possible!

To report street vendors or suspected illegal auto repair shops
in your neighborhood, call 601-
960-1059

You may have noticed a reduction in the number of street vendors on the corners on weekends.  The city's Code Enforcement Officers and the Jackson Police Department have really cracked down on these vendors and an intense survey of illegal auto repair shops in neighborhoods is underway.
